We will accept one-act play submissions from October 9, 2023 through December 9, 2023. 

Playwrights must be currently enrolled in a Colorado middle, high school or home school.

The competition will result in ten finalists and three winners for high school and 3 winners for middle school.

The middle school winners will have their plays printed in the anthology of winning titles.

The middle and high school winners will receive a $250.00 award. The high school winners will have a professional reading in late February 2024. 

Teachers of the three high school and middle school finalists will receive $250.00 to purchase books or other teaching tools for their classrooms. 

PRIOR SUBMITTING YOUR SCRIPT:

Please review all documents and assure that your name and/or the name of your high school does not appear anywhere in the document. 

Please double-check that your name is not on the Word or PDF attachment.

Please make sure that your script includes a cast of characters that includes the character's gender - even if the character is gender neutral.

Please make sure that your script includes where the play is set or located and, if a period-play, what year(s).
